AJLynn
Anybody else ever have this happen? I worked on this school project, did a lot of the design work and some renders. Left the firm last year and one of my old coworkers emailed me some construction photos, including this rather unsightly sign. In my absence, it looks like they wanted a graphic, so they must have gone through the folders and taken the first thing they liked - which was my first test render! neko
it's not that bad. besides, it is for a school district, so they likely don't want any images to make the building look too flashy and expensive. nice.... dull.... buildings - great for educating the kids ! Lester_Masterson
Could have been worse. Your name could have been all over it, or you could have thrown in a naked lady standing in a window. An old co-worker of mine was having a really hard time with a crappy job, so to relieve some stress, he named most of the objects and layers with vulgar names. Two days later the client sat down with him to review the work in progress.

Claudio Branch
Nice composition, but your grass is tiling and your shadows look a bit dark.
odouble
Does not look terrible. Like you said it was a test render.

Although not vulgar, I give the layers unusual names like "chick magnet", "out of my league chick", "hot babe I wish I had" and so. Just getting out of the norm. I cannot really do it in CAD with all the standards and stuff.

Horhe
I reckon there wasnt much you could do here... next time make sure the WIP files you send your clients have a deletion timer that removes the files from their hard drives a couple of days after theyve seen it. Anyone willing to write such a script?

Yep I guess a lot of us just give random names that dont neccesary have anything to do with the work I tend to create folder names with wierd titles when on the go - just to find myself having to change them in order not to make a real mess and not being able to find anything in the end
JonRashid
I did a football stand for Manchester City Football Club and made all the seating read MUFC (Manchester United). Although the mistake was a subconscious one the client wasn't amused at all. Well at least i got the colours right lol
AJLynn
Heh. I did a project in Colorado recently and needed a wall of donor names. I used the Red Sox roster. (The Red Sox beat the Colorado Rockies in the World Series last year.) Everybody in my office noticed but nobody in Colorado seemed to.
