Brian Cassil
Not a great game for the Lakers, but at least we can put to rest all this talk about them being "overmatched". I like Kobe gaurding Pierce. He was a complete non-factor with the MVP on him. Allen got his but I'll live with that. Now if just one or two of the other starters can step up that would be nice. One more win and we can start the series all over again!
illegalalieninbeijing
:DCeltics 2. Lakers 1 :D OMG! Kobe doing serious defense! I really enjoyed that game. Gripping. Pierce not himself. Just like Manu Ginobili during the playoffs against the Lakers. I hope it wears off.

Brian Cassil
Games too late... not enough sleep... can't keep up with trash talk... That's what all the cockroaches say when you turn the light on them and they scurry into the dark corners and shadows. Big, BIG game tonight! Game 5 is usually considered to be the turning point of a series but I have always considered game 4 to be the pivotal game. In most cases the series is at 2-1 so a game 4 either gives a commanding, nearly overwhelming advantage or it ties it up and sends it to a long series. Celtic fans I'm sure will be looking for more from KG and especially Pierce and Laker fans are looking for any of the starters who didn't win the MVP this year to do something... ANYTHING!!! Here's to a good game!

It won't happen twice to Paul... especially if he brings his wheelchair to the Staples center tonight. Wheelchair was the 6th man in game 2... What should be scary for the Lakers is the fact that the C's were still in the game in the last 5 minutes with 2 of the big 3 sleepwalking... If the Staples security sees anyone wearing green even looking at a wheelchair they have orders to open fire!
odouble
Hey don't make fun of the wheelchair, it was a prop... Those things are very useful... That said...Denzel Washington, Rip Hamilton and Paul Pierce are my favorite actors of all time...

illegalalieninbeijing
:DCeltics 3. Lakers 1 :D Awesome awesome game!!! 1 more to go. I can't believe those ringside seats cost about US$22,000.00. odouble
I believe the word you're looking for is BOOYA!. Sorry I missed the user group, something came up. Was that a meltdown or was that a comeback... I think I saw both... The result of both is well... one more win for the C's The user group meeting was good. Discussed LWF in Vray and touched on Mentalray a little. Also there was a basic scripting presentation at the end.
RyanSpaulding
Good to see. I was quite surprised when it seemed 80% of sportscasters gave Lakers the edge. I mean, yeah, they have the best player in the league...but the rest of the squad isn't amazing...Gasol is good...the rest....meh. Boston has it good right now. The Red Sox have been good for awhile. The Patriots (boOOoOOOO, hissssssssssssssssss, cheaters!) are always good, and now the Celtics.
Scott Erstad
Ryan is that some sort of swipe at the Bucks and the Brewers? Whaaaaa? That was wild last night. I saw the first, came back at the very end of the third and BANG. Can of Whoopass meet Can opener. Staying wiht my preediction - Lakers get #5, Boston at home, in the gaaahden in 6. Brian Cassil
In 25 years of solid Laker watching that was without a doubt the most dissapointing loss I have ever seen. Words cannot describe how utterly sick I felt during the closing minutes of that. I kept thinking that there is no possible way the lakers could let this one get away! The only thing I can rest my thoughts on to ease the pain is the notion that before you can become a true champion you have to have your heart ripped out. That was it last night. I'm not saying the Lakers are going to come back in this series (they may win game 5 though) but this will forge their will for the next 5 years of championship runs. AJLynn
Cheer up. Those were happy minutes! Heck, that whole second half was just about the best basketball I've ever seen.
odouble
I guarantee you it was not as bad as seeing the Pats loose in February. I watched the game in Jersey, with a life long giants fan... If they are going to be contenders in the next 5 years some of those guys have got to be replaced.
Brian Cassil
If they are going to be contenders in the next 5 years some of those guys have got to be replaced. No they don't. They just need to mature a little more (Farmar, Vujacic, Ariza, Turiaf) go through a training camp with the team (Gasol) and get healthy (BYNUM!!!). BTW, I'm not ready to completely thow in the towel yet. Lakers are still going to make this an interesting series. The celtics weaknesses have been exposed. Winning 3 straight is a long shot, I know, but it's still going to 6 games and if the lakers can somehow win that game in Boston than anything can happen in a game 7. AJLynn
So what you're saying is, the Lakers would be fine except that they're immature, inexperienced and injury prone?

Heart and grit is a totally diiferent thing + I would not want to play with an "MVP" who chews everyone out when it starts to go bad... He needs to play some defense too. Brian Cassil
So what you're saying is, the Lakers would be fine except that they're immature, inexperienced and injury prone? I'm saying that a few players are gaining some great experience with this playoff run, one player will be much better involved in the teams complex offense once he has a chance to truly understand it, and they have one key player out with an injury... and no wheelchairs were ever involved. Maturing is one thing. Heart and grit is a totally diiferent thing + I would not want to play with an "MVP" who chews everyone out when it starts to go bad... He needs to play some defense too. Now you've gone too far by questioning the heart of the Lakers. Let's not forget that they were not even supposed to make the playoffs this year. They have already exceeded EVERYONES expectations. The Celtics have been the favorites to win the whole thing from the moment a couple of the good ol' boys (Ainge and Mchale) got together and decided it was time for Boston to rise out of the sewer of the NBA by thowing a couple of mercenaries their way. vizwhiz
so who is winning? so who is whining? Kobe or Kevin?????
Brian Cassil
Lakers 2, Celtics 3 Obviously they learned their lesson from game 4 and dug down and showed some true heart and grit to get the game 5 win. Odom and Gasol can now show their faces again, not so much can be said for Garnett. Pierce is a stud, no doubt about that though. Lakers need to employ a different strategy to guard him. So far my prediction has only been off by one game. I thought the Lakers would have won one of the first two in Boston. Still a monumental task at hand: winning 2 out of 2 in Boston. Just focus on game 6 and get it even again. A game 7 for all the marbles would be EPIC!!!

AJLynn
I have friends who got tickets for the whole postseason as a package, I have no idea how - they're ticket buying geniuses - so a bunch of us have gone to a few games each.
