Redav
I don't know why but if I render from my workstation it renders as it should however if I submit the animation to our render farm, it drops the reflections. Am I missing something obvious? I mean, the only check boxes that change are Net Render and saving to a file MAX08, almost all mesh info come from seperate XRef's, scanline renderer, no memory / image issues
nelpiper
Are u using maps for reflections? If so, check whether they are stored locally. If so, they should be stored within your network. Hope it helps. Good luck.
Redav
Nope. It's a raytrace material that's not providing reflections.
amer abidi
That's so strange! Have you tried copying the same scene to one of the other computers and rendering it locally on that computer to see if it renders ok?
Redav
I haven't but will do so. I figured that if an machines had issues, it would just show up as flickering reflections for the frames that render correctly however none have them including frames rendered by the machine which renders correctly by itself
