3dway
I know; It's a bad idea to try to make the new software work and look like the old software. Poor CAD management. Learn the new commands, then decide if you can use them more productively. ...Still, I'm asking for the sake of easing the transition from 2002 to 2009. I'd like to be able to skin 2009 to look more like older versions. Is this possible? and if so do you have any sources? Thanks, Mark.
mbowers
I agree the Vista Ribbon is pretty hokey and counter-intuitive, that and it sucks the performance right out of Autocad. There is a setting in Autocad 2009 to achieve more of the "classic look." In the lower right hand corner there should be a workspace settings icon. I remember it looking like a COG and you can switch between a 3D modeling interface, 2d drafting and annotation, and Autocad Classic. I haven't fiddled with the icons however, there are few that have been changed completely. Hope this helps.
