Asus P5k-V and Q6700

That board would work, any socket775 supported board can support the Q6700. However, I would get a mobo that has the P35 chipset.

I have used Gigabyte and Abit boards with my Q6600 and have had no issues.

And don't get a board with on-board graphics, as you will more than likely be getting a standalone gfx card anyways, you are paying more for a mobo with built-in gfx graphics
