RAYMOND
use Revit on high res 9:16 screen but notice that square is actually a rectangle this could be calibrated in autocad but see no option in for this in Revit.. in elevation especially doors look a lot wider than they are... I tryed also some screen adjustments but no.. r:confused:
kris McIsaac
what is your screen res? can you set it to 1680x1050? I am using a 22" wide screen with this setting and it looks fine.

RAYMOND
well, looks like res is the answer however my screen is 14 x 9 (not that huge i guess) but the res setting 1280 x 1024 which is not the same ratio. not sure how one get ratio's the same which would make squares squares r

What brand is your monitor? Normally, you don't need to install driver for monitor - it should just work properly out of box, let you pick the correct resolution. If you have a wide screen monitor, set it to the HIGHEST NATIVE RESOLUTION (should be in your monitor manual under hardware specification section). Basically, it sounds like you have a wide screen monitor, but you run it in the incorrect 4:3 resolution hence it makes circle looks like ellipse. If you set it to the correct native resolution (either 16:9 or 16:10), it should be the proper perfect circle, and square will be square. Some proper 16:9 resolutions : 1280 × 720 1366 × 768 Some proper 16:10 resolutions : 1280 × 800 1440 × 900 1680 × 1050 1920 × 1200 2560 × 1600 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_display_standard
RAYMOND
don't see where u set the native res at...? r:o
AJLynn
Where you set the monitor resolution in the Display control panel, under Settings. Drag it all the way to the right. Alternatively, look up your monitor's resolution, and set it to that.

Alternatively, look up your monitor's resolution, and set it to that. the settings are all the way to the right however how can setting be reset to the monitors res the menu says 1280 x 1040 which is the same as the properties see no way to do that in display properties... also tried the menu on the monitor itself... but all one can do is just align the display...still ellipeses for circles maybe it be the driver... r
AJLynn
I mean, actually look up the data from the manufacturer that says what the monitor's resolution should be.
