jinsley
Have not posted for a while and this project is very short on time... all constructive (or un-constructive) comments are appreciated. I am finding that I am limited by my machine as to how large the render can be... I am saving the FG map and re-using it on a much larger scale... do I need to compensate by increasing the density or will typical settings hold me over? Thx in advance! -JI
neko
i think it's quite good.....but i would, wouldn't i ? i'm still not impressed by your choice of background environment (looks stretched) and the trees aren't giving off much of a shadow - perhaps a lower sun angle ? glass looks pretty good, but i'm trying to figure out the reflection in the center slot at the top ? some more street activity might make for a better composition, but as a pure building study it is fine. good work, young man. jinsley
Hey Paul! How's it going? On summer holidays now? Trevor is sure to phone us everyweek and remind the office that he is relaxing at home... i think it's quite good.....but i would, wouldn't i ? i'm still not impressed by your choice of background environment (looks stretched) and the trees aren't giving off much of a shadow - perhaps a lower sun angle ? glass looks pretty good, but i'm trying to figure out the reflection in the center slot at the top ? some more street activity might make for a better composition, but as a pure building study it is fine. quote] I'm not crazy about the environment either... if i have time I will try and model the buildings in direct vicinity... we just purchased an Archvision package and for some reason I can't get the shadows to work. Keeps saying "unknown shadow generator" I don't know why the stair core glass at the top is doing that either... ??? Final render will have some vehicles and pedestrians (not sure about the pedestrians... they always seem to look funny, maybe some ghost people.) Thx for the comments Paul, I will repost tomorrow after some work tonight. Cheers Edited June 10, 2008 by jinsley I f*ed up...
neko
I am finding that I am limited by my machine as to how large the render can be... I am saving the FG map and re-using it on a much larger scale... do I need to compensate by increasing the density or will typical settings hold me over? using the saved FG seems a sensible approach under the circumstances, but maybe try rendering a smaller region and use the RAM player to compare. mayamax
yes i think i have few comments on this view... 1) sky background....i would prefer other option... 2) trees ...i think we have to change a type of little bit.. 3) the footpath and road map...something better than that... 4) reflection of glass 5) and the last but not the least the light seems not good for me.. thanks ..i hope this will help.. and yes good work... jinsley
The deadline has come and gone... and I thought I would post the finished product both here and in the finished work section to get some feedback... don't know how I feel yet, guess I am happy considering the rush, but there are still lots of things I would have liked to work on longer. Thx to everyone for the crits and comments! -JI
