BillyElNino
Smoothing edges in SketchUp is the programs version of phong shading and, as far as I am aware, is not exportable. In Cinema 4D a Phong tag is added to the object and manipulated accordingly to create the smooth illusion from facetted faces, I know 3DMAX has an equivalent. Apart from this method, you'll just need to model more segments into the model if you're still suffering.
AJLynn
I use the Auto Smooth button in Polygon mode on the mesh objects in Max. Check the help files for usage.
clivengu
I try Meshsmooth.. it totally mess up the whole polygon. How can i smooth just the curve area?
AJLynn
Auto Smooth. Not Mesh Smooth, but Auto Smooth. Select the polygons you want to smooth together and hit Auto Smooth. It's down in the area where you can set the material ID numbers on the polygons. Look in the Max help file.

jtaddei
you can also just apply a smooth modifier and check the autosmooth option. Same thing as stated above, just easier to explain.
