kwerch
This is pretty wierd- Anyone know why the spots? Should be solid color. Thanks-
Brian Smith
well you're not going to get a worthwhile answer without providing worthwhile information.
kwerch
You're right- I am using vray to render this. I just did a scanline render and none of these spots appear- other than that, I don't know what info would be relevant without overdoing it-- Regards-

illegalalieninbeijing
If the spots you are pertaining to are the ones on the side/body of the desk - could it be there is a map attached to the material and the scale (UVW) is not uniform? Just a guess.
STRAT
what kippu said maybe. in vray for c4d this is a classic case of co-planar facing.
kwerch
It was the "don't render spots button" I build this in Solidworks and then import into max. I imported the particular piece and changed a parameter that imported only geometry and no materials. That did it.THis was a coplanar issue.
