Post tutorials

Recommended Posts

I worked in kids TV for 7yrs and we used Combustion for all simple post tasks. It integrates with max beautifully. If used correctly lighting and textures can be modified without need for a re-render. The 3d aspect of the package allows for realtime placement of effects like fire, smoke swaying grass etc. Not cheap but a fantastic PC package.

You're on the ball there. My workflow is to do as much work in post if its just a simple still. If you have to do multiple angles then you might have trouble doing alot in post.

Basically i insert people, vegetation, backdrops, lens effects, colour correction...etc. in post.

Good use of matte passes can save you alot of time in useless tweaking that you might do in your 3d package.

I suggest you check out the set of tutorials here
