Crazy Homeless Guy
Maybe this... C:\Program File\Common Files\Chaos Group\vrlclient.xml This is the file that points to where the dongle license is for Vray. It can also point back to your machine if that is where the dongle is located. However, if you are running XP or some other non server version of Windows, you will need to share your drive in order for the license file to be accessed. dpcaltdcah
Ok, from what I understand our license server (with dongles) is installed on one of our network servers that all computers have access to. and it is running windows server 2003. and we checked that file you suggested and the computers are looking in the right place for the dongle. I input the IP address of that location during the install so we were pretty careful about making sure that was right. vray inside Max interface is not having any trouble finding licenses and they do show up in the vray license server status monitor thing. dpcaltdcah
OMG, you were right! Had our network guy/design partner ;-) look at the server and that particular file was located on the C:/ drive of the network server which was NOT shared. So he shared that folder and now it's working. Thank you soooo much, you were extremely helpful!
