Hazdaz
I was wondering if you guys had any cool sites or mags of interiors that you could suggest to get ideas for when I remodel my own condo. I'm gonna start with my main bathroom and just redo my vanity (walls are already painted, and don't plan on getting new tub/toilet, so theres not that much to do there), but then moving on to my kitchen and I plan on ripping otu all the cabinets in there and possibly the floor. And then I wanna do SOMETHING with my hallway - I just don't know what yet. I don't have a zillion dollars to spend (and my place isn't really that huge or high-end), but I will be designing or building most of the cabinets myself, so more looking for color schemes and layouts and other funky ideas I coudl put into my place. I have started modelling my bathroom in 3D and trying different color schemes/materials/layouts to see what fits and what looks good for a vanity - a digital camara comes in EXTREMELY handy now. Any reference material out there that I can use to get ideas would be great. [ June 22, 2003, 03:22 PM: Message edited by: Hazdaz ]
mbr
Interior Design magazine has the best interiors. Most are expensive, of course, but you may be able to get ideas. Stay away from Arch. Digest! Design Within Reach has quality goods, but they're not too cheap. There is a company called West Elm that has good stuff and nice ideas (it's similary in price to Ikea stuff, but looks better, imo). Hazdaz
Well I just hit the local B&N and picked up KITCHENS -by Professional Designers magazine. Lots of sweet looking stuff in there... Can't wait to finish the bathroom so I can do the kitchen (ofcourse seeing as how I haven;t really even decided what I am gonna do to the bathroom yet, I'm a long ways off). I'll have to try finding Interior Design magazine and try to see if that company that you mentioned (West Elm) has a website.
mbr
Here ya go: http://www.westelm.com/ I highly recommend getting Dwell, too (if I didn't already mention that). A decent balance of expensive to cheap(er). Metropolitan home is great, too.
