Slinger
I was curious if anyone ever had this issue come up and if so, how they recovered there images? Thanks
mattclinch
its because you've saved a jpg but as format .psd. file -> open as in photoshop and choose .psd but point it at your jpg. either that or simply change the file extension to .psd from .jpg. Bwana Kahawa
I've also come across that one when the JPG file didn't save properly in the first place - when Photoshop crashed halfway through saving, for example. So it might not always be recovarable...
Slinger
its because you've saved a jpg but as format .psd. file -> open as in photoshop and choose .psd but point it at your jpg. either that or simply change the file extension to .psd from .jpg.That doesn't work. I have already tried that suggest. I am assuming the guy who worked on the files(it was 25 that he edited) saved them correctly. Basically he was working with jpg's in photoshop to begin with. he edited them and re-saved with a different name. The originals opened fine. the edited one's do not. I have recovered 12 of them by opening them in paint and saving as 24-bit bitmaps. The other 13 simply won't open in paint or any other viewing program. I guess those other 3 are just SOL eh?
