SSPEIPER
Who out there are using this combo for Arch Vis and getting great results...? I have been using Rhino for almost 3 years and am very reluctant to switch to 3ds Max (even though I have a copy of 8) I just find Rhino way more user friendly. What with Vray and other programs being developed to work/plugin with Rhino and Rhino's ability to create almost any shape - with Vray as the rendering package will it look the same as a model rendered with Vray from Max...??? Im not too sure of the advantages that Rhino has over 3ds Max or visa-versa... Also I have experienced getting some of my models up to 300mb in size and was wondering how to better handle overall panning shots that need to take in alot of info - making it harder to delete parts of the model to cut down on the chances of crashing etc... Whats the largest model size - fully textured that some of you out there have experienced...???
Antisthenes
that all depends on the job take shortcuts and use less complex geometry where you can if you are approaching models that big i have no crashes. go ahead and upgrade the v4 for sure so you can have all the abilities of autocad in it
