Boris Horosavin
Ahoy mates, I am still just a beginner with Vray, but I am very enthusiastic about it's features and possibilities. During last few months I have made a significant progress... However, whenever I try to assign lights to my project (mainly interiors) I stumble upon a problem of some sort, and this last one really left me clueless. I am making an interior with a huge glass surface on one side - a glass wall if you please - and a vray sun shinig trough it. I tested scene with "GI on" before assigning materials and it looked OK. But as soon as I added wall and floor material entire scene became very dark, almost as if no sun was shining trough glass at all. I should state that I am using vray phys. camera. and that I have tried all known trics (double-sided glass, affect shadow checked for glass, map scaler etc.). So, basicaly, I'm stuck. I can only remove entire glass surface, but that's not really a solution, is it. If anyone could help me with this one I would be very grateful. Thanks. PS - sorry for my english, he he! signet
difficult to say without seeing an image. it could be anything. maybe try making the glass invisible to GI in the Vrayproperties for that object then post the image
Craig Ramsay
Well best thing to do for starters is post a render and maybe your glass material settings so we can have a look.
