shane_sternstein
Hey everyone, my name is shane and i'm a student at the art institute of california. I don't want to sound like a spammer but i just came across a new plugin that creates a viewer to watch in real time. The site is applied-ideas.com IViewer3Dexports for Max and Maya. They have a free beta on the site that you can download. The great part about it is that it's really easy to use and you can package your scene as an executable to give to other people. Also it's got an easy scripting interface, normal and spec map support and particles systems. I definetly know for architecture that your clients want to see the whole structure of the building. This way you won't have to spend so much time rendering. So check it out, cuz its free and will definitely help you out. Shane
whitetr
Welcome to the forums Shane. That looks pretty cool. Is this a start-up project? Or is this just a simple tool for faast real-tim vis work? What I mean is: What are the capabilities of this tool? Real time shadows? HDRI? Parralax? Customizable user interfaces? It looks like a good start to a nice real time application. We use Anark here...which is WAY outdated (DirectX 7) and no plans from the company to update the application. It'd be nice to see someone develop a similar application with a better engine:)
