TomA
I'm working on a scene and have made a quick test render below, the problem is it doesn't match up entirely with the safe frame window (bottom link). e.g. the top of the safe frame is cropped in the final render. Any ideas why this might be happening and how to correct it? http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii31/puttyface_101/max%20help%201/080701Foyertest.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii31/puttyface_101/max%20help%201/Safeframe.jpg Cheers P
RobNJ73
That looks very odd... and I almost hate to even ask this question, but are both of those views coming from the same camera?
Tay othman
Totally Different Results........! Can you Send Me the MAX file? I Might Make Some reverse engineering to discover the problem....!
Ky Lane
Are you using a standard Camera? or a Vray Physical with some effects applied to it? Are you rendering with it locked on another camera (I see a coupe down there)?
bijoy
Did you do a crop render or something like that? Maybe you are rendering a previous view or something(F9). go to the middle part(where the snap tools and all) of the panel, move it till you see the quickrender button check to see if its on 'view' then click on the tea pot to its right. thats the only thing i can think of. and also i dont see the camera number on the top left hand side...is that normal? Or have you just cropped it out?
TomA
- Both views are from the same camera yes, i've checked it a couple of times and also deleted some of the other cameras in the scene. - I was using a standard camera but i've since replaced it with a vray camera, and i'm still getting the same results! There are no camera effects on as far as i know. - It is a full view render. - Yes it is a bit odd that the camera name doesn't appear on the safe frame jpeg but it does appear on the screen. This has happened before with similar large sized models (It's quite a big building despite only being able to see a small part of it in that view)... i was wondering if file size or render settings might have something to do with it? Either that or the way i've set up the portrait render view? P
Ky Lane
Check at the bottom of your render popup that you dont have some odd view locked to render.

Cynthia Hansen
Under the Vray Fame buffer where "get resolution from Max" is, are the width and height the same as under the common output size on the front tab?
Ray
Your render isn't cropped on the top--the view is shifted downwards. Do you have another camera that is close to the one that rendered your image?
