SandmanNinja
Bewdy! Now lets see it react to Wind... When I try mrHair and Fur, it always looks like it needs a haircut. Dangit - I cannot believe I have Bri's tutorials here and missed his bit on doing grass. Going to review them as soon as I can.

Crazy Homeless Guy
No worries mate... Ok, so Im a little slow at work, and enjoying learning MR i think the blades are to thick. i did read somewhere that MR might have problems after 40,000 blades. i have not tested above that, and i have not tested whether or not that is the total for the scene, or per patch. SandmanNinja
I get "this video is no longer available". (I'll avoid any homoerotic comments like 'I really wanted to see Ky's hairy balls...')
Ky Lane
Man that was fun on friday If anyone comes across a good lawn set, let me know. I had a play over the weekend and struggled.
Adrian Bold
I know we use to use Maya fur for rolling on lawn, especially for parkscapes etc. I'll see if i can dig one out to post for an example.
Crazy Homeless Guy
Attached is a cropped view of one of the final aerial images for the project. I am fairly happy with the way it turned out, though it could definitely use more tweaking. The greener of the grasses looked quite a bit like matted dog hair, but overall I thought it had a nice illustrative feel to it.
Chad Warner
It looks really good! The one thing that kind of kills it for me are the little blobs of grass on the left. I can't tell if they are flat planes or if they are 3 dimensional.

Crazy Homeless Guy
ground level view. i should have made the base under the grass a earth or dirt material.

Ky Lane
Yeah nice work Travis! Think I prefer the less saturated grass, looks more lifelike. And yeah, those rpc's on the left look odd mate, try using hair to reproduce them
