nelpiper
Hig guys. I'm using MAX 8(not 2008) with vray 1.5 rc3. I'm doing a scene where a have a polygon with five differente materials applied to it so I have to use map channels to have the UVs laid out. The problem is that when I set the UVW map channel to other than CHANNEL 1 and match the material map channel with the same number, the texture in the material editor disapears, leaving only the base color. However, they show fine in the viewport. I know this is a vray problem because I've tested the same scene with SCANLINE and MENTAL RAY and materials are fine. Has anyone come across this problem before? Would that be a buf that has been sort out in later versions of vray? Thanks (wow, that was long!). Thablanch
Do not think it is a 1.5 rc3 (or 4) problem. For as long as I remember, Vray always done this. But it will render correctly.
