uhofmann
Hi Folks, I did encounter a problem which in dont know to solve. I made a Plane with Hai and Fur for a Grass area and on the borders a Particle system area with small stones. As long I have the Particle system visible the system dont renders the Hair and fur .... I use 3ds max design and the inbuild Mental-Ray Renderer, does somebodx know how to solve??? I did it know with doing two randerings and montage it then in Photoshop, but this it seems not the real solution. Thanks for helping
Ky Lane
Have you set the hair rendering to "mr prim" ? Check under the Effects tab on the Environment rollout.
uhofmann
Thanks for the Hint, I tried it but it dont works, it renders only the pre-stage of the plane but the rendering of the final hair and fur dont happens, only if i switch the particle systems to invisible. Stupid, ne?
uhofmann
Hurray, now it works, i had a mr shader in the Hair and Fur Material Properties Rolldown activated. Without this and with your advice it works now. Interesting that i see the real fur stuff already in the rendering stage. Greetz Uwe
