uhofmann
This is a work in progress for an architectural costumer. Made in 3ds Max The stonefields are made with particlesystem and the grass with hair and fur. Rendering done with Mental Ray This picture is rendered without Inderect Illu and the lowes FG. Critiques and hints welcome Cheers Uwe
birdman67
The composition is very unflattering...try lowering the camera to eye level, down to the right, to make the shot a bit more dramatic...will also affect reflections, highlights, specular, etc...so get that final view first. shaneis
I tend to agree with Birdman, also had a quick play with the levels, white balance and exposure... this is what I came up with...
uhofmann
Birdman, you are right, i think i was to much in love with my stonefields, thats why i put the cam level so high. Shanei, didnt you think the pic becomes to greyish so? But i will try it in the 32bit pic lower the exposing level but where you changed the whitepoint (in photoshop)? shaneis
It probably is a bit too greyish, sorry about that. I did it on a laptop using a simple photo editing program. The main things I was trying to achieve were to move the white balance value higher (away from blue) and generally reduce the saturation of your colours. Also tried to fix your gamma. The 32-bit image will allow all this. A bit more colour perhaps? Edited July 4, 2008 by shaneis
uhofmann
Ok, Thank you, will try the changes in Camera position and picture ajustments later and upload the results. Greetz Uwe
uhofmann
Shanei, how do you like this? Cam position ist not made yet... I like it bright, because it looks summer, and it fitted to the weatherdata i used during the rendering but i chnaged the gamma and the saturation. sardesign
You mean on the white walls? yes. most exterior materials [or finishes] are flat enough where you will not get that reflection.... unless it's white metal paneling with a gloss finish. Is it painted concrete, stucco, EIFS, or something else?
uhofmann
it is stucco i took white material put the glossiness and reflection to 0 and gave the mat a bumpmap: speckle. thats all
