Crazy Homeless Guy Posted July 5, 2008 Share Posted July 5, 2008 I can't say for sure since I am not on a machine with Vray, but maybe try just disabling the GI engine in the roll outs. I think that makes the image simply render as scanline, at least more or less scan line. It still uses buckets, but I think the math behind it is scan line. Then you can check what you need to before rendering the entire animation with GI, or render your matte passes, ,or whatever you are doing. There are several reasons that you could be doing this. But do be aware, rendering with scan line will not tell you if you are going to have noisy GI on the final. I do suggest rendering at least a segmetn to check this also.
