Help with importing circular shapes from AutoCad to 3dsMax9

Hi everyone.

I'm kind of new to 3dsMax, so I build my 3d models mostly in autocad and then I import them to Max to create my render views.

I'm currently working on a proyect where I have a fountain design with some curves, the problem I am having is that the curved shape doesn't import well enough in 3ds Max, I've searched around to find out what I'm doing wrong, and tried everything I have found with no good result at the end.

If any one can point me to the wright direction I will greatly appreciate it.

I'm attaching some images to give you an idea of my problem.

As you can see, my model in AutoCad has a smooth curve shape, but when I import it to 3ds the curves get less segments resulting in a very poor render shape.

Thanks for any help.

Just to let everyone know. I've fixed my problem, I was putting the wrong number in Curve steps (was setting it too high), so I reduced it to 1 and everything is Ok.

Gona leave the post as it might help someone else with this problem.

SATout

import in rhinoceros

and then export as nurbs format IGES

and open that in max and you should have your true curves remain is how i have done it

to me segments, steps, facets, smoothing are unacceptable methods to translate my models threw
