dpcaltdcah
We just upgraded from Max 8 to Max Design 2009 and the Light Lister isn't working in any file that has more than a couple light and/or was originally created in Max 8. I attached the error message... anybody know how to fix this other than deleting and re-making my lights?
SandmanNinja
I get that in some scenes - not sure why. I've had complex lights and it works fine and had a simple scene with just 1 light and it not work. It's a nifty tool - wish it worked all the time, or wish I knew what I did to make it not work. Crazy Homeless Guy
I know there is a hot fix involving the light lister. Not sure if that solves your problem or not.

kevin miller
I am now experiencing this same phenomena and installed the hotfixes to no avail. Does not happen on every scene, just this particular model. It will also happen when breaking out parts of this model to become separate scenes. Any thoughts? CJI
I was wondering if anyone has come across a fix for this. It is happening in all my scenes and really makes selecting the lights in light heavy scenes awkward. It only happens when you instance lights. I have installed the Hotfix but it doesn't work. I am running 64bit Max and I read a post in the AREA forum were someone else had the same problem using 64bit but nobody replied. This is really starting to annoy me and i was hoping someone here might have an idea before i go on the horn to Autodesk to see if they will eventually help?
