Importing a Camera into AutoCAD from Max?

Anyone know if a nifty way to do this? I'm coordinating with someone who is setting up line drawings in AutoCAD, and needed to give my camera locations. We can figure this out by hand, but if anyone knows of a quick way that would be great.

I figure since you can import AutoCAD cameras into Max, it might work the other way around...:p

Hi.

From Max, Export your file to *.3ds. Go to File> Export. Save desired file name and location. Open Autocad or 3D model file. In the command line, key in 3DSIN and select the previously exported *.3ds file. A 3D Studio File Import Option dialog will open, search for the camera in the Available Objects area. Once you have chosen your camera, press ADD. Press OK.

Of course you need to make that view current. Command V for Views Manager and look for the camera name you recently imported and make it current.

By right, your camera location in MAX should be imported in your AutoCAD 3D model given the fact both models have the same coordinates.

I hope this helped.:D
