Tommy L
Hi, Im in chicago and I need to go and get a photo of wheat fields for an image Im working on. I could get stock, but Im working with a photographer and would far prefer to go find the ideal location and shoot just what I need. So....Im asking anyone in a 3 hour radius of Chicago whether they know of an area of wheat fields. I think they're golden at this time of year? It could do with being just slightly elevated so I get a view to a reasonably distant horizon. Thanks in advance, Tom.
blowback
Tommy, You are a little early for the golden field. wheat takes 90 - 110 day to mature depending on species. Usually wheat is planted in early may.
Tommy L
Well I drove up to near Iowa last weekend and there were golden fields up there. Just not expansive enough. Maybe a different crop?
