Two Vray instance

Is it possible to have 3ds max 9 and 3ds max 2008 on same computer, both with Vray as rendering engine?

 

When I try to install vray for max 2008 (I alredy have max 9 with vray), I get the message that I should uninstal previose version of vray.

yes it is possible to have 2 versions of max (i have installed max9 and max2008). heres what i did:

1. install max9, install vray.

2. rename vray folder from Program Files, or copy it into a new location in the harddrive

3. install max2008, install vray, (it will report that an old version is installed already but wont see it because you renamed the folder)

4. restore the folder name for max9's vray

5. .. and you're good to go.

I did it, easy way. There is a Vray for max 2008 1,50,17sp1 (basically it's the same vray for max 9 ) that has different dll names, so no conflicts or errors during insatllation.
