Sebree
I remeber seeing a post on how to tile an image within photoshop. My goal is to make a material and "test" tile it in photoshop to make sure there's no noticable pattern. Can anyone help me with this again, I can't find the old post. Thanks ! STRAT
tiling really is easy, and there are loads of different ways of doing it. try this tut out for making them. http://grayson.cgworks.com/tutorials/tile/index.html (tnx to Grayson Charmers for that)
Sebree
Strat - Thanks for the quick response. I found that tut earlier and ran through it, which prompted this question. I wanted to see if there was a way to verify the image on step 6 without having to use viz. As I mentioned earlier, I saw a post on how to do this in photoshop somewhere. It allows you to tile an image on a user specified range. Also, you say tiling is easy...it's kicking my butt. Actually all of this is.
ingo
There is a filter in the KPT tools that does this, its fairly old and in KPT3. Otherwise you can make a pattern of it and do a perspective distortion, everything in a new and bigger document. The pattern in the tutorial are made easier and more flexible with a procedural texture. HTH ingo
