Guest nazcaLine
and if it DOESN'T have Vista, it'll work even better Eduardo
andreg
bit late on this thread but I have the same laptop but having viewport display issues.... When I start up max9 i get white viewports and when i draw a box, everything comes back but on the next move everything goes white again. I tried Direct 3D, Open GL they both do the same, so it has to be a graphics card issue so what do I do now? Of course it has vista home premium... man do i regret not installing XP
SandmanNinja
You still can install XP. I bought a laptop and had no option but to get Vista. I noted the specific hardware, turned it off, yanked the smaller HD out, popped a bigger HD in, put an XP cd in the cd-rom drive, and 30 minutes later I had it nice and ready to go. I used my desktop to download the XP drivers for it. I got ALL of the hardware to work, even the wireless "Vista Only" network card. In my experience, some versions of Vista 32 are just XP with an incredibly agressive User Interface. But your problem sounds like a video card driver. Go to Nvidia's website and download a new driver.

Antisthenes
i use http://driveragent.com/ it searches your hardware and gives you all the drivers you need. not free but worth it if you set up lots of PCs and help friends Edited October 17, 2008 by Antisthenes
