Josh1587140445
I have a question when it comes to overlaying wireframes over other image in photoshop. Check out this post for an idea of what i am trying to do. http://www.cgarchitect.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=5;t=000123 I am currently using viz4 as the rendering package. But when I render a wireframe model I get a black background. So how are you suppose to get a transparent background so you can overlay the wireframe without having to fade or erase? Jeff Mottle
Hey Josh, What I normally do is render the wireframe on a black background then screen it overtop of the rendering in Photoshop.
Josh1587140445
Screen? What do you mean by screening it? Is it the same thing as fading it? I would look, but I have paintshop pro here at work. So I would have to wait to check photoshop when I get home.
nisus
Screen is just another blending mode. When you overlap to layers and set the topmost to screen-*BM, the 'whites' of the top layer are added to the ones underneath. 'Screen' is the opposite BM of 'multiply', where the 'blacks' are added together. rgds nisus *BM: blending mode
STRAT
another effective method is learning about feather blending -

And it is coming with a DVD filled with tutorials from the photoshop masters. So hopefully I will learn some stuff from it.
