archinano
I read a lot of posts in this forum and nobody seems to use the same tools I do, so I decided to create this thread. I use Vue 6 as my main tool for creating terrains, skies, fog, vegetation, long distance props (roads, lanes, little houses in the distance) which I then import into Maya to create the foundation render in which I later insert the whatever I am interested in showing off (building, house, etc...) I use Renderman for rendering simply because there is no other renderer that can achieve such realism (really amazing!!) I learned Renderman from a few books that you can get in amazon and a couple tutorials from Digital tutors. I just joined the Renderman to the maximum course that will start soon. If you are really interested in getting the best renders out of your CG architectural models then go Renderman! I hope my advice helped.

Renderman, Vray, maxwell, MR etc etc are just as capable as each other as render engines go. it depends what the skills of the artist using them is like
