another dressed pig

Well here we go again,

The dreaded dressing of the pig, also in some cultures known as polishing a turd... (making a boring/benign design look good.)

Unfortunately that is the case with many projects in the AZ desert. Stucco with Spanish tile roof.

This project will be the remodel of the sales office at a larger apartment/condo complex.

Here are two views of the pre-dressed pig.

Insert apple, set oven to 300 F and slow cook for a week, with periodic phone calls and updates. :D

cheers,

The proportions of the building are all wrong (out of your hand I suppose). With a bit of direct sun that turd will sparkle

We have a saying in the office ,"Tree it up" basically if a design is so unresolved or just plan ugly we cover it over with trees. Although in a desert that wont help much

yes we will be adding all the shine we can....

- Trees (i am sure a palo verde will find its way in there) :D,

- good contrasting sunlight,

- cars,

- maybe people, not quite sure yet on that one.

The proportions do look a little off, but there is a two story condo attached to the smaller building which will be shown along with the surrounding buildings. we may even get a glimpse of the pool area!! lol

We shall see what bells and whistles we can pull off. We are goin Cinema 4D with Vray on this one. i will keep you posted.

I was thinking...Maybe there is a possibility of making this an interactive one with this community. Within reason... When it gets goin, we will gladly listen to whatever you guys throw out there to add. Lets make this the prettiest pig out there. Blue Ribbon at the Fair baby!!!

cheers,

Its called: 'Putting lipstick on a gorilla' in our office... (courtesy of STRAT, original reference unknown!)

Good to see someone using C4D with VRay, few and far between on this site... I shall keep an eye on progress.

Well here is the dress they wanted to put on the pig. So much for being able to have some fun with it. :D

Fortunately it looks like we are going to have the go ahead to do an interior render. Will keep ya posted.

cheers,
