sardesign
can anyone tell me how to render an image that contains the following: plan in perspective roof is sliced using clipping planes with the camera problem: i can't get the skylight to light the interior of the space. is there an option for the skylight to light the scene if the geometry clipped did NOT exist? I would like to avoid SLICING the entire scene as the geometry is quite complex.
Tommy Burns
Have you tried using sky portals on the windows that works?
sardesign
i want to avoid placing 20+ sky portals on the scene, i would just like using the standard skylight and getting a decent rough lighting scene
Tommy Burns
Well then try self illuminating your walls or floors inside Would be helpful if you attached an image
sardesign
i want a somewhat natural lighting scene... that will make it look fairly fake... no one else? there has to be an option in MAX to allow light to pass through but i just can't find it btw, no image needed... it's a floor plan with the ceiling sliced off [by the camera clipping plane]. view looking straight down in perspective Edited July 18, 2008 by sardesign
