Vray Building

Recommended Posts

Cheers for the comments so far, my work is slowley improving. Here's the latest render with a bit of post work in photoshop (background).

Please criticize.

The sphere vray light that I am using for the sun reflects as a big circle in the entrance dome window, does this look wrong, if so how can I stop it reflecting? It's already set to invisible.

Does anyone know where I can get any free .tga files of people to add to the scene in photoshop?

What about the camera angle? Would it be better repositioned, for example at head height(1.8m approx) looking up?

Any easy ways to put a slight blur effect on the cars?

Thanks again.

I think my first comment would be that your title "Vray Building" seems too true. This looks like the computer's project, you haven't made it your own yet, you haven't chosen the camera angle, etc. Don't worry about people for now, or what file format they come in, or motion blurring the cars (which gets overdone anyway) but to work on the fundamentals - model detail, materials, site, lighting, composition.

Firstly I would like to say, change your camera angle. You want to show your building more not the road or grounds around it. Hotels and skyscapers are hard to do in the sense that usualy you have a lot of buildings around it and its very difficult to decide if you are going to model buildings or match it up to and image that has buildings.

The fountain is looking good so way dont you have a front angle showing the whole building with fountaion infront, make the image ratio more higher than wider.

Now I agree with nanderson2008 about getting the fundamentals done, so get your materials looking good. Your windows have an ugly reflection, the top windows are either reflecting black or dark blue.

About the vray sphere light you can take the reflection off that one object, if you dont know how let me know and I will show you the steps of doing it.

Your building model is looking good.
