Ky Lane
Well, yes it is! I have a rather complex internal apartment scene which I rendered out a couple months ago now when I was still using 32bit Vista. Now, same machine, exact same specs etc running on 64bit rendered the exact same scene out (I didnt change anything) about 25% quicker. Go figure! manta
well if you have 4 gigs of ram in that machine, it probably used it in the 64bit, and didn't use it in the 32bit, and was using the hard drive instead which is much slower than Ram...

Ky Lane
well if you have 4 gigs of ram in that machine, it probably used it in the 64bit, and didn't use it in the 32bit, and was using the hard drive instead which is much slower than Ram... Of course, and the extra theoretical gig of ram helps too, although 25% is a pretty big difference if you were looking at rendering out a huge animation or something.. SandmanNinja
THAT is EXACTLY the kind of benchmarking I was looking for. Thanks Ky...
