Kals
Hello all Pardon me for putting in a noncg topic in this forum but I could not find any other way as a solution for my problem which I have been trying to solve for the past 4 months. I am graduate Viz student from Mississippi State University and last semester I had taken a 15 minute short film. The film production came out very well and it has been recommended for student film festivals. This was around four months back and from then on I had been working on the copyrite issues of my short film as I had used some of the original english movie soundtracks. I was able to track down most of the company labels get freeusage agreement from them but I am not able to contact SonyClassical to get their freeusage permission. If anyone in this forum has an idea who can give me a particular contact I will be very thankful. I am trying to contact Sony Classical for the past 4 months but I am just getting redirected. Kindly help me. Thanks Kalyan

I have got only the best quality in analog and yet to digitally refine it...Anyways here is the link. http://www.dril.sarc.msstate.edu/Kalyan_web/home.htm Click the link "WATCH THE MOVIE" under the section "VIDEO PRODUCTION - SPACES" Thanks Kal
xgarcia
kals - I'm downloading it now. One thing about your website - the font you chose to use is really hard to read - I had to squint my eyes and look 6 inches away from the screen to read it. Maybe it's just me! Kals
Hi xgarcia Well I do agree with that point about the font. I have to change the font probably. Thanks for the suggestion. Thanks Kal
Jeff Mottle
Kals, Just finished watching your video. Really nice work! I'm affraid I don't know how to help you get an in at Sony, but have your tried calling them or were you only emailing them? My first thought would be to ask for their legal department. Chris_A
Your work has turned out well Kals. As to your question...in their online information they list... "Sony Music's Designated Agent: Gail I. Edwin, Esq. Law Department Sony Music Entertainment Inc. 550 Madison Avenue New York, NY 10022" May be exclusive to online music purchasing but it's a place to start. A Yellow Pages lookup also finds... Sony Music Entertainment Inc - Sony Classical Productions Inc 460 West 54th Street, New York, NY 10019 (212) 833-7373 Keep pushing your boundaries! Kals
Hello Guys Thanks Jeff and Chris for the appreciation. Well Jeff all I had been doing is calling up people in SOny trying to find numbers and they forward me to someone else. The last person I figured out who could possibly do the formalities for me in Sony Classical is "Kate Naylor" and unfortunately Ive been just given her fax number 310-449-2570. SO I have faxed her a couple of times but no reply as yet. Let me try the way Chris has suggested me. But I think Ive gone through this too. But I will try again. Thanks Kal
