New to architectural modelling

Hello to all members, I am new here and would like to thank you for the welcome.

 

I already have a question and believe that many can give me good advice. My realm is 3d modelling using maya, recently I have been approached to create a walk through using architectural drawings. I am not an architect and do not know whether I would be able to accept this project with the knowledge I have. I would like to ask the members here whether they have had similar experiences or am I just too inexperienced and should give this project a miss? Are architectural drawings difficult to read, normally I model from hand-drawn sketches or photographs.

have you had chance to see the cad files? in my experience projects can vary sooo much in how much info you are given and what the project actually invloves.

probably best to talk to the client and explain your situation, they may offer to lend a hand if you have trouble understanding drawings.
