Munz
I am going to be starting a presentation soon for a competition were the building sits on a large prairie. I am not sure how to create the tall grass look I want or need. Has anyone tryed this or know of a good source on how to do this. I am using Max 6 thanks Attached is an image of what I am think http://www.cgarchitect.com/forum/filepush.asp?file=prairie.jpg
Wayne Harney
I used Forest Pro for the tall grass in this image. http://www.prughlenon.com/render/images/bridger%20canyon.jpg Scatter would work too. Tutorial at http://www.3dcafe.com/asp/tutorials/max/grass/grass.asp Obviously poly count becomes problematic. I rendered the house seperatley with vray free and created a matte shadow scene for the grass and billboard trees with simpler lighting. Save this render as TGA with alpha channel so you can composite it later without re-rendering the grass every time you re-render the building. Hope this helps.
