Looks like a good start. Something happened to your tree to the left - the lower leaves didnt render properly?

 

i would consider putting another tree on the right hand side near the boulders.

Here is my latest image, i've textured the table at the front-right of the image wrong, it should have a glass top. Just wondering, is there a way to re-render just the table part of the image and still get the reflections in the glass (e.g. of the house)?

 

Any other advice/crits?

The foremost chair and table appear to be floating. Maybe scale the roof tiles down too - they're confusing the scale of it all. Keep it up.

i spot a tea pot

The water looks cool,...its a good start. Your palm tree is very less detailed and spoiling the render, also reduce the saturation of roof.

I like the overall composition, but agree with the others on:

* the scale of the tiles on the roof

* the tea pot has no contact shadows

* the table has a shadow, but is floating

* I think the pool should be bigger/longer

* maybe scale the pool ladder 10%-20% smaller
