jphelps
What do you have to do to get V-Ray plane and sphere lights (that you want to be invisible) to not be visible in the reflections of objects? I check "invisible" in the light modifier rollout and the light is not visible directly then but it still shows up in reflections.
Tommy L
Un-tick 'visible in relections' in the light's modifier panel.
dbibb
Uncheck "Affect specular," "Affect reflections," or both.
jphelps
Well, neither "Invisible in Reflections" or "Affect Reflection" exist in my V-Ray light modifier panel. One guy here has unchecked "Affect Specular" and says the reflections of lights goes away. Another guy does the same and the reflections do not go away. We're all using V-Ray Adv 1.5 RC3. Tommy L
I think a light source in a reflection is the definition of 'specular'. If it is both invisible and uncheck 'affect specular' Im sure you should have no problem.
dbibb
Why aren't you using 1.5 SP1 or SP2? Affect Reflections was added in 1.5 final.
jphelps
Hmmmm. Sounds like operator error. I'll check into it.
jphelps
I don't know but we are upgrading soon as we go to Max 2009.
