mbr
Is there a way to get that nice black/dark green look to the edges of the glass without refraction? This is for an animation and you get close to the shower, it doesn't look defined enough (it's all glass) without that edge. All I know of is to make another shape on the edges - anything better? nisus
Use a chamfered box for the glass and add a multi-submaterial to it. Make the border whatever green you prefer, lower transparency settings here is an example: (check out the table) nisus

ishpalsingh
use black for diffuse colour opacity from 30-50% flat mirror or raytrace map for reflection keeping reflection 20-30
nisus
Raytrace Material: ID1: very dark diffuse color, idd transparency 85-90% falloff in reflection slot ID2: same, but transparency about 15-25% rgds nisus try the architectural glass script from www.scriptspot.com and learn it's structure! Very good to learn how to use falloff in reflections...
