andrewdavidyoung
In they latest mental ray there is a subset of scene shader that can render the pixels of a specific material. I was wondering if anyone knows of one that will work for V-ray. I have a masking script one, which is great for editing in specific regions in post but i really want to make adjustments in the render without having to render the entire scene. Dave Buchhofer
http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/vray-matte-pass-on-selected is a little script to speed the process for a selection of objects.. basically select what you want to keep and everything else will be matte'd out if you want to do it for a material you use the VrayMtlWrapper http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/150SP1/mtlWrapper_params.htm or else look into the Render Element for MultiMatteRenderElement to just save out alpha channels for the areas you wish to adjust while doing the main renders.
