Billabong
I was just wondering if anyone knew of a company or an individual that knows how to write a professional resume. I have mine I did myself, but it needs some serious work and I am no good at this. I just want it to be as professional as it can be. Thanks for any help
BrianKitts
checkout http://www.jobrockit.com Its the mom of a friend of mine from high school who is professional resume writer. I traded services with her as I was exiting college to have her write mine for me, it ended up getting published in a book (forget the name.... something like the top 200 resumes for college graduates... sorta thing) She's published in a few books and speaks at conferences and all that jazz, all on resume writing. It's not some big monster corp that cranks out resumes, its one person that does it after talking to you so it can get a personal touch. Looks like she's redoing the website, but it has the contact on there still. side note: rẻsumẻ always should be spelled with the symbols over both E's....a pet-peave of hers that will put you on the right foot if you type it correctly! Ernest Burden III
You can find resume templates in programs like Word, you can search for other people's resumes online, you can even go talk to a librarian about how to improve your resume. Job-finder websites might have tutorials about writing a good resume.

BrianKitts
Word templates are okay but it's the professional that will be able to tell you things such as....When you hand your resume to someone if can't figure out what you know and what you do in 30 seconds they aren't going to bother, so one page ONLY is the rule, nothing more. I'd rather pay a couple hundered bucks and have it done for me, but that's probably cause me gramma ain't so great Edited August 7, 2008 by BrianKitts

SandmanNinja
I agree, not about your grammer, but paying the couple of hundred bucks ..or spelling. I love computers, but I think it will take someone with the skill and knack of writing them to do a good job for you. (sorry for the zinger, just thought it was funny)

moshenko
side note: rẻsumẻ always should be spelled with the symbols over both E's.... Close, but no cigar; the accents are the wrong ones: résumé
