extrude along path not at right location

Hi all

 

we are facing a problem in extruding object along path

its like a moulding around a square coloumn

so we made the cross section of the moulding and then drew the path around the column but when we use Extrude comand and then use path option then the resulting object is getting shifted a little and the object is also smaller in size in plan . i never faced any problem like this in AUTOCAD 2004 but in 2006 or 2007 i face this problem.

If we copy paste the cross section and path into a new file it works fine

 

What can be the error. its like as if Cg of the cross section is not aligning properly with the path and even if we place the crossection at the edge of the path maybe its extruding the section with some other point as reference. I can be wrong also. Please help

The only issue I have (and just duplicated) is that by placing one corner of the section on an end point of the path I get exactly what I might predict from that.

 

I worry that that doesn't quite solve your problem.
