malevy
OK so i bought the archifx3d collection and find it very easy to use but i am having problems with applying the front door images. Should i apply the image to a plane or a thin box with UVW mapping.. it just doesn't look right, it looks flat.. what am i doing wrong.. this is my first time using such materials so go easy on me The rendering looked much better until i hit the save button but i think you can get the idea i am trying to get across here. thanks in advance for your advice
kippu
you have mapped it correctly .. it will look flat because it is a 2d image and will not give you the same depth as a 3d modelled door
malevy
Ok thank you for your help. So maybe I should try adding some molding around the door to try and break up the flatness of the image.. you have mapped it correctly .. it will look flat because it is a 2d image and will not give you the same depth as a 3d modelled door
