Hi guys

my question is not realated to visulization as such but to mainly architectural feild in canada. I am planning to immigrate to canada but i dont really know anything about scope of architecture in canada as such :D. I am currently working in dubai UAE as a Project Architect.

My basic expertise fall with in project detailing handling of team of architects and project co ordination.

Can some one direct me to some job sites for architects or can give me links of consultants or contractors , so that i am able to do some RND on my part .

i would highly appreciate any information on this regards

thanx in advance

Hi Steve

thanx for the pointers. i would be going to toronto probably. and i dont think so i will be accepted as an architect because of all the liscensing issues. but my main concern is hows the feild of architecture out there in canada. Means architectural jobs are somethings that appear quite often in the newspapers/ web sites etc or its a saturated market in terms of architecture.

i accept that when i will reach there i will not be treated as an experienced project architect most probably because of lack of local practice/knowledge. But is there a chance to work in my own feild and then grow with time.

Because honestly my knowledge of canadian market as such is very limited or prcatically none.

Kind regards

Well I can't offer a lot of advice about Ontario as I lived in Manitoba. However, http://www.oaa.on.ca/ will get you going with the market in Toronto and all of Ontario. Familiarize yourself with the firm you're interested in and go from there. I'm sure there is a process in place for you to become an licensed architect in Canada, but it will likely involve exams. This page should steer you in the right direction:

There are other members of this board that locals of the Ontario and T.O. in particular, perhaps they can help.

Oh, and learn to love hockey :D
