RyanSpaulding
Hey guys, In my free time I'm trying to shore up some of my character modeling skills and I usually throw $50 or so every 2 months into an envelope for training. I've noticed that there is a TON of material on rigging, animating, and modeling for animation for Maya....but very little for 3dsMax. Has anyone run across any for 3dsmax? It'd be nice to learn how to rig an animate like a pro... Looking for something a bit more in-depth than the general Lynda.Com fare...and a little more updated than their animation DVD for Max 6. Tim_Tam
http://www.cg-academy.com/ ( They are updating their website at the moment - so the site is temporarily down ) They have 3dsmax modeling, texturing, rigging, etc. training DVD's. I bought their maxscript dvd and it's very well organized, in-depth and all-in-all excellent value for money. EDIT: http://www.3dtotal.com/ Has character rigging DVD in their Eva series Edited August 11, 2008 by Tim_Tam small addition

Agreed about their rigging DVDs. 4 volumes, and you get everything you'll need to know about building a production-ready rig from scratch explained very clearly and throroughly.
