monkeyman905
I have playing with the camera setting and its now got really bad shadowing/ blotching. How can i correct this? Is it a texture error or a vray settings error? Thanks phil
Eric Sosa
it could be many things start with correcting your "colour bleeding", which is the main problem atm.
monkeyman905
Thanks for the reply so if i change the saturation to say 0.7 or 0.6 this should help with the bleeding?
Eric Sosa
nope Philip. u need to read about mat bleeding and how to use "vray mat override", which is perhaps the best solution... I beleive.

monkeyman905
HI, yea i think i have seen it the red floor one? How can i tell which material is causing the "bleeding". Is it the material which the bleeding appears on or will it always be a material causing the bleed from bouncing light appearing on that one? thanks again
Eric Sosa
bigger surfaces bleed more than smaller, you foor bleeds a lot, dunno what color u'r walls are , cos so much bleeding ...as u can see all look redish, just like u'r floors GI the black parts bleed too as u can see in the walls where the black is close, etc. again, whenever u fix the bleeding, u'll be able to see other problems. http://www.cg-files.com/VrayColorbleeding.html here u are m8, gl
monkeyman905
Nice one i will sort the floor out then rerender and submit it. What about the gamma setting would changing these help? the walls r ment to be a grayish white lol The sofa is ment 2 be leather and i folded a tutorial to do that, do you think that is look so bad due to the colour bleed? it looks more plastic 2 me than leather Edited August 14, 2008 by monkeyman905
Eric Sosa
lets see the render without bleeding.... remember to low the second bounces to 0,8 or even less, also to avoid the spots on the walls, then u can start correcting the rest

Nic H
i think you are being led up the garden path here, the bleeding is not really the problem i see its the GI you should not really imo be using override materials on the couch and tv, the blotches you see are crappy GI artifacts. whats you lighting set up and GI settings?
