AJLynn
If you're going to be that broad about it I'm going to tell you to read the backlogs because it's all in there. If you want specific advice you'll need to ask a specific question.

AJLynn
An X38 board would be fine, or really any board your vendor uses that supports all the parts you want. The Q9450 is a bit nicer. The 1x hard drive (if you're not a power user don't mess around with RAID, it will be more trouble than it's worth). The video card... none of the above. An 8800GT would be fine for your purposes. If you use Revit, get a FireGL. Memory: option B or D. D if you want to use a 64-bit version of Windows because you will have 2 slots left open and you can upgrade to 8GB later if you want to. Case: whichever one you like. Personally I only use Lian-Li PC60 type cases - it's a matter of personal preference. Water cooling: only if you intend to do extreme overclocking. Very few people need this.
alkahhhtchi
thanks very much But what about a good system to do some small or medium animation rendering.
AJLynn
Animation rendering requires as much CPU power as you can gt and then some.
