TomA
Hi, Is it possible to create a 3d pdf of a fully rendered max model with all the lights and materials? Cheers P
MegaPixel
Yes with an "If" and a "But"... If... you own the fully licensed version of Acrobat 3D, you can do this. But... there are some hoops to jump though and it won't be a one click operation. Simple scenes with standard vertex colors and opacity settings for materials will translate just fine into Acrobat 3D. If you wish to use bitmaps, reflection, bump, etc, then you might have to reapply them inside of the Acrobat Authoring software. Clean your scenes up, use smart naming conventions, and get all mapping done before exporting your project. Acrobat 3D does have some lighting tools but I find the entire interface to be kind of clunky and limited. I might take a "texture baking" approach with your scene and let the textures create the illusion that there are lights on the model. JonRashid
Don't know if this helps, but you can embed quicktime panorames in pdf files.
TomA
Thanks for the tips, i think the texture baking approach is probably the one for me though!
